The National Golf Club

The National Golf Club required a full signage replacement to address weathered and inconsistent installations across the course. The goal was to create a cohesive, durable, and brand-aligned system that could withstand the club’s harsh coastal conditions while enhancing navigation and presentation. A key focus was on developing a robust wayfinding strategy, completing a full signage audit, and refining course equipment branding to meet the standards of a tier-one sandbelt course.

Following a comprehensive audit of existing signage and wayfinding points, a new wayfinding strategy was developed to improve member and guest navigation throughout the course.

Marine-grade aluminium was selected for all signage and course equipment due to its durability against salt and weather exposure. Each sign was fabricated with an edge-folded aluminium frame and side fixings for a seamless, high-end finish, and coated in a two-pack sprayed enamel with a UV and salt-resistant clear coat.

The design process focused on aligning aesthetics with the club’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across directional, regulatory, and course equipment signage. A dynamic signage system was also introduced to allow quick status updates for facilities such as the food hut and driving range (open/closed). Installation was staged to ensure minimal disruption to members.

The National Golf Club now features a refined and cohesive signage suite that strengthens brand presentation and improves wayfinding across the course. The new system delivers a clean, contemporary aesthetic with long-term durability suitable for marine conditions, enhancing both functionality and member experience.
